Our children -

When I was in college, I took a class in Child Psychology.  Those were the days when I had to sign that I wasn't a Communist so I could get a job through the university as a tour guide on campus.  The big theme of the class was we had to fight communism because they brain-washed their children and we wanted our children to be raised with freedom of thought.

I read this article and am shocked, beyond shocked.  I haven't yet read it all but find it frightening.  See what you think for yourself.

And yet there is also this article pushing back the time of seafaring and exulting over the discovery of tools created perhaps as long as 130,000 years ago. How can these two viewpoints co-exist? I think we ignore those who believe the world was created 6000 years ago at our peril. What will our children be taught? What will they believe? The course I took was correct that children are malleable and we must be aware of what we place in their sweet, tender, trusting, innocent, and vulnerable minds.
