What we have before us are some breathtaking opportunities disguised as insoluble problems.
- John Gardner
I feel like I've been on retreat, re-organizing in some way, resting, observing. I'm coming up on a birthday so perhaps that is part of it. What is mine to touch now?
What I see is that I've built a nest around myself. I am surrounded with books, walls of books, and I love them, and yet there are more here than I can read and more than I need to preserve for others. I like snuggly things so I have more blankets, afghans, jackets, and sweaters than I can use, more than I need. My plan now is to go through, give away and create some space in my home, and perhaps that is what I've been doing with my mind, spreading out the galaxies of thoughts, so I can touch and honor each star.
