Steve has pneumonia, so our week is hovering around a steaming pot of homemade chicken soup and juice and rest. The weather is cooperating. We've had sun and now the clouds settle in. Rain is predicted in the next few days.
I enjoyed my Toastmasters meeting last night, but there was another element. Who knew, but the Giants are doing well, and so, now, I, too, feel caught up in an excitement that I don't understand. My athletic skill is not improved, but the meeting had an undercurrent of what was happening with the Giants and it was lightly attended for what might have been a multitude of reasons, but the Giants were playing and so someone, against the rules, received a text during the meeting. The Giants won. No details, just that, and everyone celebrated as though we were in an Irish bar on St. Patrick's Day and I am feeling a bit of a rivalry with those East Coasters who are rooting for the Yankees, and I don't know what to think about it all.
I know we all are reading the inane comments by certain politicians and shaking our heads and probably shaking more, trying to understand the ignorance displayed so openly and arrogantly, and the Giants have one more game to win, and they will be in the World Series, and I have no idea why that might affect me, and yet, it seems it does. We are all nuts. :)
