Good Morning!

My New Year's Resolution is to walk each day, so I wake, listen, and realize the killer storm is not yet here.  I head out into the dark.  It is warm.  If this storm is coming from Alaska, no wonder the polar bears may expire.  I am hot in fleece, encased in the changing climates of the valley.  I miss my turn in the dark and head up the other side, then com back around.  I hear the creek.

Yesterday I wrote this:

January 2, 2008

I bathe in the softest green,

radiant as the moon wrapped in fuzzy light,

still with a need for retreat,

tender

in this new year,

able to absorb time in the smallest of bites.

I want everything clean, cleansed, gone through.

My address book is new.

And it is new.  Everyone in it is alive with information up-to-date.  Though change is a given, I hope there are no names to cross out this year.  Happy third day of 2008!
