I feel
now the world has tightened -

        doctors
and care

and
maybe now the cage

will
give me the light through the bars

the
silence to engage

    what
carves the canyons

                I crave

    the
desert light,

    the
warmth of the hearth,

    the
pools where I dip

        the toes
of treasure,

                and
