I woke this morning, thinking of the grocery store and how amazing it is. I have a variety from which to choose, and I do, but let me just walk through the outside aisles of Whole Foods, with its flowers at the entry, then, fresh juices, vegetables, fruits, organic, and non, and a note on where they come from, so if produce from Chile doesn't suit me, I can choose to move on.
Then, there is yogurt, guacamole, salsas, more juices, milk, low fat, non fat, whole, half and half, local Strauss, and fish, meats, wines, cheeses, and then, already prepared convenience food.
It is mind-boggling to think about it. One could stand and look at the desserts as exhibits in an art gallery. It is something I don't always appreciate, but today, I do. Most of us have access to a staggering array of comfort in food.
With all the talk about overweight in America, it is amazing we do as well as we do. We do pick and choose, and we have some amazing choices to make.
Happy February Saturday and choosing what makes your tummy jump, nourish, and rest in delight.
