I would love to live
Like a river flows,
Carried by the surprise
Of its own unfolding.

I like that. I think of it this morning as the discussion of ethics and truth continues on Connection Well. What I think I come to, in this moment, is that society, especially one as unenlightened as ours, does need "rules," a standard of behavior, and that stands in the center, firm, without judgment, and then, we each surround those rules and circle round those rules as we would a May pole. We each choose the length of the ribbon that works for us. We are all connected and influenced. That is why the political lies hurt each one of us. We are hoping for a higher standard, more accountability and ethics from our politicians. What we allow them to get away with affects us all, diminishes us.
I look out on gray today. It works for me, a day to sort through shades, and be grateful that discussions continue to inspire around the world.
