No concept is a carrier of life.
- Carl Jung
This morning Jane and I spoke about "perfection." Marion Rosen says, "Perfection is static."
Jane wrote this to me today. "I think perfection is abuse. The more I re-read Marion Woodman and Marie Louise von Franz the more I feel that the current (and now fairly long standing) culture of "progress and hierarchy" has pushed the feminine underground in many many ways and that striving for perfection is part of that dynamic."
I think it is for each of us to let go of concepts, habits, patterns, and to reach into the soil and the sky like trees and branch with our own need to play in the forming of leaves.
