Chris and Frieda have invited both families to gather for brunch at their house. Jeff and Jan will come as well as Frieda's brother and his wife, and the two mothers and the two fathers.
Jane's 60th birthday party starts at 4, and she lives near Chris so I have requested he drop me off and pick me up so I don't have to worry about drinking and driving. I will probably spend the night at Chris and Frieda's so it will be a full and celebratory day.
Today in Sensory Awareness I got in touch with how tired I am. I think I didn't admit to myself how hard it was to be so sick last week, so today, was about feeling my fatigue and my plan is that a good night's sleep will carry me easily through the festivities of Mother's Day.
I will miss my mother tomorrow and I am grateful to be able to celebrate "my day," along with all the other mothers of the world.
