Trains!!

Today, Chris and I enjoyed breakfast at the Claremont Hotel, and then, went up to see the steam engines at Tilden Park. We loved riding the 15 gauge, along with the other parents and children, and then, we really lucked out. The 7 and a half inch runs from 12 to 3 on Sunday, and we got to ride on it TWICE!! You straddle the seat, and rumble along on a little track 7 and a half inches between wheels. Because of the scale, you are going, whoa, you won't believe it, the equivalent of 52 miles an hour! It is quite an experience. I feel like we have been all over the wild west. We sped through towns and landscapes. If I had hair, it would have been blowing. It was fun indeed!!! I highly recommend the steam engines of Tilden Park, and they don't treat you with any less respect if you come without a small child, so, don't wait for that.
