Good Morning!!

My mind is like a mobile this morning, in a bit of an anchored float......

Oddly, my keyboard is still unable to stop with just one period, and sends a whole flurry of them out at the end of a sentence.

And each time I type that it does that,  it doesn't.   I feel like I'm being trained by a I'm not even sure what, but I am on my toes and jumping up and down......

Ah, it's back......

and again.....

I saw Eavan Boland, Jane Hirshfield, and Robert Bly read last night at a benefit for the Poets in the Schools.  Michael Krasny was the host....

We got there as the doors opened, so were in the fourth row and it was quite an event...

Jane and Eavan were incredible, and Robert Bly truly is a legend, and deserved the standing ovations he continued to receive.....

I am in awe of his energy and presence.  His latest book took 14 years, and is more translations of Hafiz.  He read some of his own poems, and also, translations of Hafiz, as he was accompanied by a lovely group of four Iranian musicians.   Perfect for Hafiz

I am still floating on the strength of his movement, compassion, and use of his body and hands.   I was moving to the music, feeling how can we have anything but peace, when we have poetry and music.

It was in Angelico Hall on the Domenican campus, and was sold out.   The huge room was full......

This morning I am filled with music, poetry, and peace.
