I understand that there is an excitement to war, to defending one's self and one's companions, family and friends and uniting in a cause. We are wired for sacrifice, for meaning, compassion, empathy. How ironic that what makes us so great can lead to war......
How do we channel that need to unite and share the knife edge of excitement into ways to work for peace?
It is for each of us to do each day, personally, individually, as in aikido, when the attack is turned to release..... return to neutral, and balance, again and again.
