The other book I am reading is by Jill Bolte Taylor, My Stroke of Insight. If you haven't yet watched her on Tedtalks, she is a must-see. When she had a stroke and her left brain shut down, she experienced herself as fluid, without boundaries. "I was no longer isolated and alone. My soul was as big as the universe and frolicked with glee in a boundless sea." I think chemotherapy does something similar. I had so many people involved in my healing that I did not feel separate or individual. I felt like a communi t y. My sense of time changed. I am still adjusting back. I suggest you buy the book. It is a treat, and if you haven't watched the video, do that too.
