The wind is blowing in a clear, pure way as though it hasn't been anywhere before, is brand new, innocent, fresh to my skin and nose. It hasn't wound through the trees, or settled down anywhere. It is just coming right over the hill, fresh, new, and clear.
Our rain numbers are starting to approach normal. Hooray! It allows me to feel how much I need the stimulation of weather. We lived in San Clemente for two years. The weather was perfect, absolutely perfect every day.
Now, we have this wind, and I put my head outside, and rain drops fall like kisses and there are white blossoms scattered all over the decks and yard.
The weather counteracts the news of the day. A fresh wind blows and carries, in this moment, all worry and complication, away.
