Spring is when we, like flowers, come firmly out into the air. We've had our winter shelter and gestation period and now here we are, out in the light, ready to play.
Pablo Neruda wrote in his poem, Every Day You Play:
I want
to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.
The friends thou hast and their attention tried, grapple them to your soul with hoops of steel.
Hoops of Steel. We are friends here. Friendship. Somehow today I more clearly feel the fragility, strength, and honoring of those bonds.
Friend Ship - a ship in which we sail.
