A friend of mine was diagnosed with prostate cancer quite a few years ago now and was told if he didn't have the surgery and do all the doctors said he would soon be dead. It was an advanced case and dire and medical procedures must begin immediately. He even went to an independent panel and they agreed. He doesn't have a wife or children and decided to be a test case for the "other side," the one who doesn't follow doctor's orders. He is healthy and fine and happy.
I'm not saying we shouldn't be tested, but I think there is a sad obsessiveness right now that can be frightening in itself. Let's enjoy our health while it's here!
