The fog has cleared and we have sun. Yesterday was a full day as Katy and I traveled, ate, reminisced and visited with those of all ages. We traveled through different landscapes, industrial, country, city, and viewed homes and schools. It seems the children of Brentwood are back in school and walking along with their backpacks. It doesn't feel right to see school backpacks on little kids in August. We are planning to take the ferry to the city today and ride the cable cars and walk, walk, walk. I feel many ages all at once. I wonder now if when the tortoise goes back into its shell it is to wrap memories like rings, to live like a tree, with each year wrapped neatly in the next.
