Evening -

The fog backed off tonight to provide a frame for the stars.  I sat outside in the cold hoping to see a meteor but instead saw a dance of stars, which was quite satisfying and just enough.

We saw the movie on Julia Child and Julie Powell tonight.   I loved the movie and give it thumbs up and agree with the reviewers on their being too much of Amy Adams as Julie Powell.  Meryl Streep as Julia Child is magnificent, and her story more than enough for many movies.  The attempt to equate a young woman with a blog who re-creates the recipes that Julia Child labored to learn to make and then labored for years to put into a publishable form seems incredibly insulting to Julia Child to me.   My husband thought it was to draw in the younger viewer but I think Julia is entertainment enough.   So, I am recommending it though I started to feel a little irritated by the end at the attempts to equate and match up two such different lives.
