My group of four women meet today to celebrate autumn. We meet four times a year to honor each season. Today is at my house so all is cleansed and I've been cooking away, planning meals for both hot weather and cold, since yesterday was hot but I hear the fog horns and so in moments it could be cold.
I love taking time like this to honor the season. We each say our intentions for the next three months and bond in supporting our goals. One woman's husband had a bit of a health scare on Friday so we are even more aware of the fragility and preciousness of life as it is here.
I look out on trees offering leaves of green to the sky, lifted upward by the warm face of the sun. I am grateful for this life, for all of it, the quirkiness, and what seems like insanity, and the love that circulates us all.
Also, Yom Kipper begins at sunset. Sacred blessings to all.
