Optimism -

 

I met a friend recently in a restaurant where the water glasses had a line at the mid-point and above the line it said optimist and below it said pessimist.  Very clever,  I thought.

I am heading south today to spend the night with my son and his wife.   Tomorrow, Jane and I will speak in Pacific Grove about Breast Strokes so that will be fun, and then,  I go back to Jeff and Jan's for another fun night with them.   Friday, Saturday and Sunday I will be at a retreat center in the Santa Cruz mountains with a group of around sixty women.  It looks like a beautiful place to become more clear on my next steps.  My glass is full.
