I saw a yellow caterpillar today climbing over my special rocks.
I have a red-shouldered hawk living in my yard, a friendly one, who lets me close. I'm hoping for a mate and babies. It is magnificent to have a hawk as companion and friend. Of course, friend hawk chooses when we meet but seems to enjoy swooping down next to me. I am touched each time I see the beauty of this hawk and I'm grateful to have an eater of rats and mice close by. I think my cats are too well-fed to take much interest in patrol.
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.
