I just finished reading Matthew Sanford's book, Waking, A Memoir of Trauma and Transcendence.  I highly recommend it.

Matthew was paralyzed from the chest down at the age of 13.   The book is about how he came to explore the mind-body connection.  The book is inspiring and I am struck  by these words:

"The integration of mind and body requires a realization of nonviolence."

Nonviolence is the key to healing ourselves, relationships, and the planet.  May this be so, and may you, too, be inspired and comforted by the journey of Matthew Sanford.
