The moon is shining in the sky, has found its way through the drizzle of this day, an enticing drizzle, quite enchanting in its polishing of leaves.
I saw a magnolia flower today as I walked with a friend and we spent time sitting under redwood trees. I feel calm and graced.
She gave me a scarf, a beautiful scarf and it's wrapped around my neck, and I feel embraced.
I am intrigued tonight with circles.
Huston Smith wrote in his book The Way Things Are:
There is something magical about a circle.. For one thing it is geometric; it can encompass more space than any other shape. But this is more than just mathematical. It is also symbolic. A circle travels without leave-taking. So it combines a journeying with a center."
May we live our lives with awareness of "journeying with a center", no "leave-taking" for us.
