telomeres -

Today I was talking to a friend whose husband had prostate cancer.  He did the work with Dean Ornish, regarding diet, social support, yoga, meditation etc. and he is fine.

She said Dean Ornish is working with the study of telomeres.  I had never heard of them, so naturally upon return to home, I googled.

This is very interesting:

If cancer is a condition in which certain cells in your body stop dying, then what does that mean?

Now, I had a glass or two of wonderful red wine with dinner, which was pasta with pesto from peak late September basil, and heirloom tomatoes and soft mozzarella cheese,  and so, I'm slightly tipsy, but I am with thoughts of immortality. Is cancer actually an amazing thing?
