Because fewer people will attend Wednesday Toastmasters meeting, those who will be there have been invited to present a two to four minute introduction to themselves. I am thinking about it. I introduced myself to this group once, but what do I want to say now in these remaining few days of 2010?
I suggest it to you as a way to hone your resolutions, to sink into what you want to create in this New Year. Looking back allows us to look forward. It is an honoring.

As part of contemplating what I want to say about myself in my Icebreaker Speech, I opened Annie Dillard's book Teaching a Stone to Talk. I find it as enchanting now as when I first encountered it. Think like a weasel. Think what you would take on an expedition to the poles. What excites you now?
