Now, I read that a woman who had a policy that excluded coverage for residential treatment programs is suing Blue Shield, because they refused to pay for her residential treatment for her eating disorder, and she may actually win.
Yes, it is sad her parents had to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for her care, but what about people who don't have that kind of money for treatment?
This is where I think it gets insane. Where do people think the money comes from? If she wanted a policy that covered that kind of care, I'm sure she could have found one, and paid for it, but she didn't. I guess my compassion meter is set on zero today.
