One million people are coming, or have come, to SF this weekend, and the Humpback whales are here too. Ships and boats are being warned about the whales hanging out at the GG and entering the bay. There's something friendly about that. I need to get up early and take a look, see what I can see from shore. I'm taking no bets on actually doing that though. When the warnings go out on crowds, I usually tuck into home.
The Blue Angels are here for Fleet Week. They practiced yesterday and today, and will be in fine form the next two days. I definitely hear them here, and if I'm quick, I catch a glimpse. I have mixed feelings about them. I don't like the expenditure, and military connection, and yet, they are stunning to watch. I appreciate the skill and training involved.
I would love to share some words of wisdom, but all I have is a feeling of satisfaction and peace with hunger mixed in. It's time to make dinner. Happy fall weekend to all!
