Morning Sky

This morning I saw the moon still shining in the western sky, and then a blast of rose-pink as the sun announced a new day.

I was reminded of how native peoples named the different moons of the year, and so I looked up the names.  This January full moon was the Wolf moon, named for the howling of the wolves.  I don't hear wolves here, only coyotes sometimes, and I don't think the February Full Snow Moon will be appropriate for here either.  I may need to create names to represent where I live.   Perhaps this January moon was the Vision Moon, or Moon of Peace.

I just re-read Jack London' Call of the Wild.   Thumbs up for the call we may all hear, at times.

I am with these words:

The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.
