Tender Times

What is it about spring?  Buds opening to reveal an intricacy we can only embrace with our breath of reception, and birds singing, opening cells in response.  I slow to watch the maple leaves swell, and then, one day, they unfurl, like little flags, heralds of change.

My heart is tender, benches of welcome set inside.
