Good Morning!!

Rain all through the night woke me many times to consider and savor.  I am delighted with the sound and how it rises in the rich green of the trees.

I am excitedly over to Berkeley today for Rosen movement.   It is a good thing!!!      Happy Daring!!

"To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself. "

- Soren Kierkegaard

Morning Poem -

It seems our morning poems have been missed by some, so Jane and I each have one for today.  I was rushing around trying to get the manuscript mailed off to Hari Bhajan in LA, so had about 2 minutes, instead of 20, and this is what comes.  I'm sure many of you can relate to this busy time of year.  Even the rain this morning seems to be falling with urgency.

Enjoy, and try to ring a mindfulness bell in your head throughout the day.

December Morning

I can ring a bell in my mind three times,

and pause for three breaths, and I do,

and this time of year is busy

and I juggle in a zoo -

the pandas watch, the monkeys, too -

this cage of entertainment winks

for more than me and you.

Jane's poem of the morning -

In the darkness I count my love.
My mother makes her bed and then lays down.
Fallen in the shape of him, my father’s bones now dream.
Burning through the darkness, my son never rests.
Sister holds fast.
Brother wanders.
You, my you, still warm in sleep’s sweet scent beside me.
