cirque du soleil trapeze

Good Morning!

I seem to be at a loss for words this morning.  Perhaps it is the shock of seeing the sun and reading that our temperatures will spill into the fifties today.  What is this strange new world?   I am struck dumb.

I feel like a little bulb, perhaps aware of those warm tendrils of sun, but really wanting to stay a wee bit longer under the earth.

I take this from a cup from Starbucks.  I smile when I read it.

The Way I See It  #289

So-called "global warming" is just a secret ploy by wacko tree-huggers to make American energy independent, clean our air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safer and more livable.  Don't let them get away with it!

You might wonder at this quote on a Starbuck's paper cup, and I do try to remember to take my own container, but sometimes I am walking around and just stop in and so it is that I savored the humor and truth of this quote along with my latte.

Enjoy this beautiful day, whether you have snow, sun, or rain!!

Health care -

Paul Krugman makes a good argument that if health care is your issue, then, Hillary Clinton is your gal.   Her health plan has a chance.  Barack Obama's does not.

My brother points out that we need a person with vision.  Barack Obama identities with the book Team of Rivals about how Lincoln put his cabinet together and collaborated and organized.  Perhaps it is to  vote for the forest here and not analyze, in this moment, each and every tree.

In the corner is a photo of Heart's Desire beach, one of the goodies that would be affected by Schwarzenegger's plan to close CA parks.

Balancing the sides of the brain -

When I was going through radiation, there was a painting in the waiting room with this quote by Isabel Allende.  I re-visit her words today.

"....she is lost in the labyrinth of reason and all her security now lies in affection and love."
