A beautiful morning!!

Alan at:

posted this kindergarten/first grade song this morning.   Who could not smile and greet the day in a fresh way when they read these words?

Good Morning, good morning to you.
We're all in our places
With sunshiny faces,
and this is the way
to start a new day!

My Morning Poem -

Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon – April 9, 2008

When I read that 6000 people are expected

to watch the Olympic Torch pass by,

and because I honor both the unity the torch represents,

and the Tibetan cause, I decide to go to Tiburon,

and sit peacefully, send my support to San Francisco,

from across the bay.

“Maximillian Joseph Herman!   Hey!”

The mother calls, and calls again.

I don’t see them, but clearly he is entranced with something,

a bug perhaps along the path and then they come into view.

He is maybe two, toddling along with this huge name,

and she continues to shout it out,

as she pushes a stroller along the path.

She is small, and her voice does not match her build.

I want to say, Max, or MJH, come sit here with me,

and play with the rocks at my feet, the sand.

There is a gazebo here, dedicated to a little girl, Lori,

who died.  She loved moonbeams, sunbeams, and stars.

Let’s put into context your need to dawdle,

to see what is here, and not move quickly to the playground

which is crowded, and minutely planed to be safe.

Linger here, by the bay, with the waves and the wind.

Let’s feel the Olympic flame from here,

the need to unite, the right to dissent.

Perfection -

No concept is a carrier of life.

- Carl Jung

This morning Jane and I spoke about "perfection."   Marion Rosen says, "Perfection is static."

Jane wrote this to me today.   "I think perfection is abuse. The more I re-read Marion Woodman and Marie Louise von Franz the more I feel that the current (and now fairly long standing) culture of "progress and hierarchy" has pushed the feminine underground in many many ways and that striving for perfection is part of that dynamic."

I think it is for each of us to let go of concepts, habits, patterns, and to reach into the soil and the sky like trees and branch with our own need to play in the forming of leaves.

Sometimes I think I can't deal with another issue, and then, an email comes, and I see there is another place to speak.

I did this and must offer a little warning.   The Hershey's site offers lots of temptation, so stay with your purpose, and don't decide you need to head out for a little chocolate.  You are on a mission here.  :)
