Morning -

I wake early and delve into Marilynne Robinson's new book Home.  I read Gilead when it came out and this book is composed of the same characters, presented from another viewpoint.  It is said she writes with the grandeur and simplicity of the Bible.  It is beautifully done and a beckoning into noticing, so when I go outside to wipe the table of pine needles, I notice how the sun is rising in a new place, and the air is crisp though we will have sun today.  The rain last night freshened everything and this moment is enough, and then, there is another one.

The father in the book says, "There is so much to be grateful for, words are poor things."
