goldsworthy - snake

Morning -

It is still dark outside.  How quickly we lose the morning and evening light this time of year.

Last night I found myself in a slump feeling like I continue to look for the path when I know, in reality,  I am the path.  This morning I explore the path I am.

This quote by Henry David Thoreau is my guide today.

"It is something to be able to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so to make a few objects beautiful; but it is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look, which morally we can do."

I set my brush and knife to that intent today, to honoring the curves, the dips that rise.
