Day of the Dead!

I'm recognizing now it is Halloween Eve. Joan has posted a scary Halloween poem and this. I find comfort in the Day of the Dead, the Day of Remembrance, in the thought that our loves ones, their spirits, come through November 1st and 2nd. There seems an extra majesty to this time of year, a pulling in even as we are drawn out by the flicker of candle light in pumpkins and the laughter of children. There is a preschool nearby and occasionally I hear the laughter and screams of the children. Well, imagine how it is today, on Halloween Eve. :)

We rarely get Trick or Treaters as we are rather isolated, but the candy is bought and the decorations are out, just in case. :)
