Because fewer people will attend Wednesday Toastmasters meeting, those who will be there have been invited to present a two to four minute introduction to themselves.  I am thinking about it.  I introduced myself to this group once, but what do I want to say now in these remaining few days of 2010?

I suggest it to you as a way to hone your resolutions, to sink into what you want to create in this New Year.  Looking back allows us to look forward.  It is an honoring.

I ask myself today:  Who am I?   What do I create?

Yesterday I read Keith Richard's book Life.  I recommend it as a trip down memory lane for those of a certain age and as a wonderful look at the music we loved and love.  What were they tapping into and how?

As part of contemplating what I want to say about myself in my Icebreaker Speech, I opened Annie Dillard's book Teaching a Stone to Talk.  I find it as enchanting now as when I first encountered it.  Think like a weasel.  Think what you would take on an expedition to the poles.  What excites you now?
