alan - morning glory center

Looking out and in -

The birds are in full song this morning and the sky is blue and the trees still.

I am still with the movie, "The Cave of Forgotten Dreams".  The images walk on caves within me.  I am touched in a place outside of time.

Tim, my friend from Toastmasters, has been diagnosed with Legionnaires Disease.  It has been quite a process to save him, but now that there is a diagnosis, his recovery can move a little faster and he may be back to functioning within a few weeks.

I am reminded of when my brother got Lyme Disease.  The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong and he almost died.  All of this brings each of us to the moment, and I know we are trying to be aware, and ....

Memorial Day weekend is on approach.  My neighbors are packing up their camper ready to head out.  The locals leave as the tourists pour in, though we do have our neighborly, festive, down-home,  Memorial Day parade.  The Indy 500 is this weekend,  a roaring Midwest announcement of the beginning of summer, and it is a weekend to honor those who have died in military service.  That seems to mean bringing out the ketchup in full display at the grocery stores.  Blood.  Ketchup.  Both are red.

More and more I see that the point of life is to treat each other kindly, to try and understand another's point of view.  We are unique, each of us.  That is our wealth, and we are also beautifully the same.

To peace and health and fulfilling gatherings as the sun rises earlier each day until June 21st.

Each moment, a gift.

Each moment, an opportunity, to beach,  for Peace!
