great blue heron flying

Fifth of July

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

I have so much to be grateful for in every way.  It's been awhile since I checked in here.  The visit with Joan who was out from Chicago was a wonderful sharing.   We both love nature and books, so visited Tomales Bay, Pierce Point, Drakes Beach, Mt. Tam, and the Pelican Inn at Muir Beach.  We savored the Pt. Reyes book store and the MV library.  We both love the book Mink River by Brian Doyle.  Thumbs cosmically up.

I am typing this on the Mac Air.  My learning curve is slow, but my son Jeff helped me yesterday and the day before.  Slowly, I go.  I think some of this requires a tune-up of my brain.  I go along on auto-pilot, and whoops, now I need to stop and again learn to fly.

I feel blessed this morning, grateful.  We live in a changing world, one that more and more connects.  Sometimes I pull back, and pause, and today, I feel ready to step back in.
