Space - rings of saturn

I struggle with impermanence, even though change is obvious.

I used to meet a friend every weekday morning at the trailhead at Tennessee Valley at 6 and we would run down to the beach and back.  We'd always pause to savor the sea and the wonderful rock arch.  I visited many times of day, always enjoying what seemed an eye to the sky.  Over the years, it has become a walk, not a run, and less often, so I was unaware until today that the arch has fallen.

I just finished reading Gary Thorp's book Sweeping Changes, and still I'm surprised by change.

There, I read:  We are all haiku

                               only here for seventeen
                                      syllables, three lines.
