Bald Eagle

Connection -

Today I am with the words of Thich Nhat Hanh:

"If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper.  Without a cloud, there will be no rain; without rain, the trees cannot grow; and without trees we cannot make paper."

Okay, you are not reading this on paper, but you get the idea.  As a child, I loved to stand outside and look up at the stars and feel how all that was within me, and how I was also part of bigger circles, bigger skies.

Jurriaann Kamp started Ode Magazine.  Now it's called "The Intelligent Optimist", and offers positive news, and ways to interact.  You might want to check it out:

In his article, "I know I'm conscious.  But how?  And why?",  he notes that what he sees when he looks up at the stars in a Mexican sky is  like what he sees when he looks at a drop of his blood under a microscope.  I think now of the words, "As within, so without."  We live in, and are, exciting worlds.  Our influence, our particular influence, is huge to both big and small.

It's raining.  Hooray!  The earth suckles, as do I.
