Evening -

It has been a day of noticing.  We have a Japanese garden, and one part of it is a dry garden filled with river stones to simulate the feel of motion and water.  I sat today on the front deck, leaning over, examining the stones.  Fascinating the landscape within.  I was with Charles Simic's wonderful poem, Stone.

In addition, the sky is an amazing array of clouds, fascinating entertainment, moving and shifting.  The wind blows softly, gently.  It is tropical here today, a different feel, and as I look up at clouds, I wonder how I'm affected and changed by their presence and movement.  Not to anthropomorphize them, but does my attention, breath, and circulation of water, change them?  Do I appear as garden, both wet and dry?
