Giving Tuesday!

It seems each day has a name these days, so we had "Gray Thursday", leading to "Black Friday", and "Cyber Monday".  Now, today is "Giving Tuesday."  Ah, finally, we enter the month of December as it's meant to be.   And it's so easy.  I can give on-line.  I've always enjoyed writing the checks, made a ritual of it, like writing cards, and may still do it that way, but it's wonderful that my favorite friends are reminding me this is a good day to give.  I like the feel of it.  "Giving Day".

I started decorating today.  My mother gave me a wonderful little house that lights up.  It is a combination chocolate shop and book store, two of my favorite things.  It is now on the mantle, shining brightly.  The Christmas books are out on the table, and I hung some lights in the shape of a heart with my "heart entwined" heart from my niece embraced.  I love this time of year, this time of candlelight.  The light slants as though we could slide a little further on its rays to nourish and feed our beliefs in magic and miracles balancing on the runners of sleighs.
