Morning Light -

Because I attended the Poetry and End of Life event, I continue to get requests on the evening.  Today, I remembered that one of my absolutely favorite poems was read: "For What Binds Us" by Jane Hirshfield.  I've loved it since I first heard it.

I am also grateful for two quotes that have now come my way both dealing with transition and transformation.

Each time you open a book and read it, a tree smiles, knowing there's life after death.

I don't know the source.  Perhaps a tree breathed it through its leaves.

And here is Ram Dass:

The way we regard death is critical to the way we experience life.  When your fear of death changes, the way you live your life changes.

Peace in these days of slanted light, light leaning down for us to climb and seep.
