Galway Kinnell -

Galway Kinnell has passed, a lovely man, a wonderful poet.  You can read about him here:

He said it is the poet's job to bear witness.  He said, "To me, poetry is somebody standing up, so to speak, and saying, with as little concealment as possible, what it is for him or her to be on earth at this moment."
