Everyone is so busy these days that I feel tired just hearing their schedules. Therefore, this morning I stayed in bed for an extra hour feeling it was my "duty" to send peace and rest into the world. I felt breath carve canyons in me, curving canyons as seen in Bryce and Zion National Parks. There, the sandstone allows the wind to smooth the rock into canals. This morning I saw that a rock that rests in my yard had slipped into two. It opened up like a clam. Sometimes we may stoically move our way through tasks, and other times, we may fall open to the grace, ease, and majesty of breath.
A friend of mine is stressing over our Toastmasters Christmas party. It's supposed to be fun. Today I am writing a song for us to sing to the theme of Ghostbusters.
We meet at Round Table Pizza. Think "Toastbusters". The birds are singing and flitting through trees. Some leaves are still hanging on. It is a day to revel in the beauty of being alive, and all that forms and unforms, all that wings on wind and breath.
