I sink into myself this time of year and that allows an opening and expansion into connection with trees, birds, and squirrels. I see that as the trees lose their leaves, their branches define lines and space. I can see the words I type here as well as the space between. I lengthen, strengthen, and widen inside. Breath is a kite connecting in and out. I am grateful for lungs and heart, for blood and pumps. I am grateful for life and the ability and grace to transform. Today I embrace life and death as one.
I am reading a wonderful book, yes, another one, Reconnecting with Nature by Michael J. Cohen. If you want to open more awareness of, and more connection with your 53 natural senses, I recommend this book.
The Winter solstice comes. I feel the caress of light, the mobilization that excites, the calming acceptance, of change.
