Healing Relationships -

Yesterday I was at Book Passage, my "local, independent book store" presenting my book, Love Letters to My Daughters-in-Law.  I realize it should have been titled "Two Women Loving One Man".  Woman after woman came up to me, MIL after MIL, complaining about their DIL.  How sad is that.  If you know anyone for whom this relationship is strained, on either side, I suggest this book.  It can't cure all ills, obviously, but perhaps it can bring some understanding and compassion to a relationship that involves two women loving one man.  You can buy it on Amazon in book or Kindle form.  Let's work to heal a relationship that can build the world not tear it down.

Yesterday was Small Business Saturday and yet in an article on it in our local news it mentioned Macy's and Nordstom's as small businesses.  What?

I think it's really important to support our local small businesses.  Otherwise, there won't be any.

I look out on sun on a cold, crisp day.  The pyracantha berries are just about ripe enough for the birds to come and get a wee bit drunk.  It's fall turning to winter, and the days are short and the nights are long.  Each night and even during the day we enjoy a fire.  The seasons bloom within.  Enjoy!
