It's the time of year when we in the northern hemosphere celebrate the return of light. It's 6:00 and still dark here, though I've been awake for hours. There is movement in the night, energy. Yesterday I was at Fort Mason enjoying a sensory awareness workshop, the SF bay, and the Farmer's Market. Everything glistened in the rain and the light was tangible in its potency and stirring of taste in each cell. I thought of taste buds. Why are they called buds? I looked them up on Wikipedia. A drawing there allowed me to realize a tide pool fluorishes on my tongue. Check it out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taste_bud Do I have taste buds everywhere? Does my pelvis vibrate with buds sprouting, probing, testing, tasting, ingesting and sharing? I hope so! I love the light of December, the slant of vibrations as they dance.
