I find myself this morning, reflective. I leave early Thursday for a retreat. What comes to me now before I go? These words are my guide for this moment, today.
James Alison: “Give people a common enemy, and you will give them a common identity. Deprive them of an enemy and you will deprive them of the crutch by which they know who they are.”
I am the leaf on the tree, rain given and received. I am the lake reflecting, unharmed, each of us, all of us, precious and unique, no need of a crutch.
