Neutrality -

I read Cindy Sheehan's comments to Congressman Jack Kingston, a Republican from Georgia, who called her a "nutcase" on his blog. In her reply to him, she repeats all the information we all know, how Bush and Cheney did not serve, how this war is fought without cause. She goes on and on, and her anger is palatable. I read it, and again, see what I have learned in my own battle. The point is to be neutral, balanced. That she would let Kingston bait her shows her vulnerability, and she is vulnerable. She is grieving her son. She is lashing out in her grief, and that is where the balance comes in. I read recently that cancer can not thrive in an alkaline environment. We can monitor our internal environment as to acid and alkaline, by noticing what we eat, and I believe we also have to notice where we let ourselves go. I was angry about the politics of Bush, and I let that anger fester. I think it is important for each of us to notice and cultivate our own peacefulness, to be as Gandhi says the peace we want to see in the world.

My heart goes out to Cindy Sheehan. I want to cradle her and let her cry and cry and cry. I feel sad that she let Kingston get to her with his lies. She needs to be so clear, so crystal clear, that the lies can't touch her, and, then, her message will even more clearly rise.

I pray for Cindy Sheehan today, and ask you to do the same. I want her to put her head down and cry for the loss of her son. I want her to have her grief, just for a little while, and then, she can go back to her brave attempts to save the world as she sees it. May grace pour peace upon her head, and give her rest, today, and tomorrow, and for the rest of her days. I pray she stays well.
